Pilates for Athletes and Professional Dancers

Joseph Pilates opened his studio next door to the New York City Ballet and thus began his popularity with professional dancers and athletes.

In most sport and dancing training there is often emphasis on developing specific groups of muscles while other muscle groups are neglected. This creates an imbalance in the system.

Pilates helps to restore balance and harmonize the whole body, improving general health, facilitating better movement, improving level of performance while minimizing the risk of injury.
