Pilates and Back Pain

About 80% of the population suffers from lower back pain which at times can cause disability, severely reducing quality of life and interfering with work and activities of daily living.

The causes vary: incorrect movement patterns, issues with the functioning of the lower back and stomach muscles and so on.

The Pilates system is based on strengthening and training these core muscles and in so doing can significantly reduce the level of pain and teach more efficient movement, relieving the strain on the spinal vertebra and joints.
